Donald Trump found a new target, Joy-Ann Reid, for his continued negative tweets.
What We Know:
- On September 14, 2019, Donald Trump posted a tweet lashing out at MSNBC’s Joy Reid. “Who the hell is Joy-Ann Reid? Never met her, she knows ZERO about me, has NO talent, and truly doesn’t have the ‘it’ factor needed for success in showbiz…Had a bad reputation, and now works for the Comcast/NBC losers making up phony stories about me. Low Ratings. Fake News!”
- No one knows where exactly the comments came from but they may have to do with comments Reid made while guest-hosting All in with Chris Hayes on Friday night. On a segment about Trump’s visit to Baltimore for the House GOP retreat, she stated the president was giving Republicans “some smoking hot beauty tips.” She also said he sounded like a “desperate man” and “whether you like me or not it makes no difference because our country will go to Hell if any of these people get in.”
- This is not Reid’s first time being vocal about her issues with Trump. This past summer in June she published a book titled The Man Who Sold America: Trump and The Unraveling of the American Story. Her critics are not limited to television and print. Earlier this month, she tweeted that Trump “has turned the presidency into a travel agency servicing the Trump Organization.”
- After Trump’s tweets, a hashtag for her show, #AMJoy, was trending on Twitter and the host tweeted “Great job getting us trending, #reiders! Can we get our #AMJoy hashtag even higher? Let’s do it!”
With last week’s bashing of Chrissy Teigen, it is unsurprising that Trump has once again used his social media power to target a woman.

Donald Trump has turned the presidency into a travel agency servicing the Trump Organization and its properties and golf clubs around the world. He’s grabbing money constantly, from political sources domestic and foreign. How can that blatant kleptocracy be allowed to stand?
