Rihanna had her 5th annual Diamond Ball on September 12 at Cipriani Wall Street to support the Clara Lionel Foundation.
What We Know:
- Robyn “Rihanna” Fenty founded the Clara Lionel Foundation in 2012. The foundation honors her late grandmother, Clara Braithwaite and her grandfather, Lionel Braithwaite. CLF funds education along with emergency response organizations across the globe.
- According to the Clara Lionel Foundation, “Current programs include primary and secondary education programs in Malawi, Barbados and Senegal, emergency response programs in the Caribbean and across the globe, and the Clara Lionel Foundation Global Scholarship Program.”
- Seth Meyers was the host of the event which featured performances from artists including Pharrell Williams, DJ Khaled, and Megan Thee Stallion amongst others.
- Aside from the enormous price tag to attend the luxurious event, guests can donate to the cause through exclusive live auctions. Rihanna has successfully raised over 7 million dollars for the Clara Lionel Foundation throughout the years.
- Some of the most popular celebrities were in attendance sporting their best garments. The guest list included Cardi B, Normani, Fat Joe, 21 Savage and many more.
- Prime Minister Mottley & Activist Shaun King were honored at the Diamond Ball for their countless efforts and achievements. They were presented with the Diamond Ball award for their “humanitarian and social justice work.”
We’d like to commend Rihanna for her accomplishments, but the fans still have one question. WHERE IS THE ALBUM?
