What We Know:

  •  Tracee Ellis Ross, Golden Brooks, Persia White, and Jill Marie Jones, all took to Instagram to announce that they were going to appear on television once more after their hit show Girlfriends ended in 2008.
  • “We haven’t all been together on camera since 2006,” stated Ross via Instagram. “These are women that I grew up with and love deeply and it was easy to tap back into the magic of our chemistry and how much we love each other. It was giggles on top of giggles on top of giggles. Girlfriends ran for 8 years and was important to so many people. Being able to merge the worlds of @blackishabc and girlfriends was surreal for me and so much fun.”
  • Girlfriends aired September 11, 2000 on UPN and ended its run on the CW after six seasons, according to Entertainment Weekly. The sitcom highlighted the four women in their respective careers and the importance of friendship as they navigated through their everyday lives.

The ladies will appear on the episode titled “Feminisn’t,” which will air October 8th on ABC.
