Wendy’s Launching Breakfast Nationwide In 2020 Will Hire 20,000

On Monday, Wendy’s president and CEO Todd Penegor talked about what will set them apart from the competition.

What We Know:

  • The popular fast-food chain tried the national breakfast menu in the 1980s. The reason why it was discontinued was because the omelets, French toast, and toasted sandwiches meals took too long to make. What makes this process a little bit different is that the company plan on investing $20 million to prepare for the launch in 2020.
  • More details of the expansion will be shared on October 11th on Wendy’s Investors Day. Wendy’s hiring site is https://careers.wendys.com.

“We believe we have the right team and structure in place, and we put Wendy’s fan favorites on our breakfast menu to set us apart from the competition.”

  • Breakfast has become an essential part of the fast-food chains’ growth strategy. According to Forbes, the morning meal accounts for 21 percent of of the U.S. restaurant traffic in 2018.

The competitors such as Taco Bell, Burger King, Chick-fil-A, and McDonald’s find the morning hours the most valuable time of the day. That is why these companies are looking to grow there morning inspired menus.
