Tamron Hall’s New Daytime Talk Show Exposes Truth about NBC Firing

Journalist Tamron Hall is the new daytime TV host of her self-titled show and started it off with a bang by revealing what truly went down while she was at NBC.

What We Know:

  • Hall previously hosted Today’s Take with Al Roker. After NBC News cancelled Today’s Take in 2017 in order to create the Megyn Kelly hour instead (which has since been cancelled as well), Hall was shocked.
  • “I go into work one day. I left fired. ‘Demoted’ I guess is what they called it. I called it fired…Inside, I was falling apart. I had worked since I was 14,” she stated on Monday.
  • Offers eventually started “trickling in”, including one from the infamous Harvey Weinstein. As she was working on a new show, women came forward accusing Weinstein of sexual misconduct. Inspired by the women around her, Hall remembered thinking, “If they can get up, I can get up”.
  • Hall spoke with ET’s Lauren Zima last month about her Today exit, stating that “it was being willing to be vulnerable, being willing to say that it was embarrassing, it hurt, I was on the mat, but having people around me say, ‘You don’t have to stay down…And that really is what our show is about. At your lowest point, you’re not the only one going through that.”
  • Hall stated that she wanted her new show to be all about “inspiration”, saying that “if we can talk about these things, if we can inspire and laugh… if we can just be real and admire each other’s journeys, admire each other’s successes and be there together through the tough parts of life and talk about it in a real way, you’ve got yourself one hour!”

Congratulations to Hall on the new start!
