San Francisco Declares the NRA a Domestic Terrorist Organization

The City of San Francisco adopted a resolution declaring National Rifle Association a domestic terrorist organization.

What We Know:

  • “The declaration from the Board, cites a duty by elected officials to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” according to Politicalinsider.
  • The pro-second amendment group believed Democrats were trying to distract people from the real problems that’s facing San Francisco, such as rampant homelessness, drug abuse, and skyrocketing petty crime.
  • The Board recently decided a person who was labeled as a convicted felon would now be referred to as a “formerly incarcerated person, a justice-involved person or simply a returning resident.”
  • District 2 Supervisor Catherine Stefani said, “The NRA has it coming to them, and I will do everything that I possibly can to call them out on what they are, which is a domestic terrorist organization.”

The NRA sued the city of San Francisco as the lawsuit in the Northern District of California accuses the city official of violating the gun lobby’s free speech rights for political reasons and says the city is seeking to blacklist anyone associated with the NRA.
