One person who is against the partnership is a radio host and pastor Bishop Talbert Swan. In a tweet, Bishop Swan showed a woman from the organization cutting a child’s dreadlocks off his head.
What We Know:
- Swan tweeted, “A white lady who loves police, loves Trump, thinks ‘ALL LIVES MATTER’ and that cutting off dreadlocks to assimilate to white culture will help Black boys attain a better life is who the @NFL and JayZ’s @RocNation thinks they should give $400K to #InspireChange & social justice.

- The organization runs a boxing gym to help kids stay away from gangs and crimes. While many people are bashing their efforts, some are praising them. The Crusher Club released a statement denying the allegations of them prohibiting dreadlocks.
- The statement said, “The Crusher’s Club does not have any policies prohibiting dreadlocks, we welcome all hairstyles from our youth. On two occasions, our kids looked to change their hairstyles and asked us to assist. I understand how my social media posts could be interpreted as insensitive, but that was never my intention.”
- The club also added how much they love their children, and they’ve worked on trying to better these kids lives without putting their life or their freedom at risk.
In response to the backlash, the company also shared the testament of one of its kids named Kobe. In the video, Kobe talks about how cutting his dreadlocks helped him leave the gang and helped him better his life.
