The exciting show that had audiences guessing with every episode “The Masked Singer” is returning and bringing some more exciting costumes with it.
What We Know:
- Season 1 of the interesting singing competition originating from Korea, which features celebrity contestants anonymous to the judges, audience, and to one another, ended on a high note with a season finale that brought in over 10 million viewers over the two hours of remaining contestants.
- Costumes from last season included a peacock, a bee, a rabbit, a lion, an alien, a raven, a unicorn, a poodle, a deer, a hippo, a pineapple and a kid-friendly monster. Don’t worry, we won’t spoil who each costume featured in case you haven’t seen it!
- Season 2 brings 16 new celebrities and more crazy costumes including a Panda, Butterfly, Egg, Leopard, Flamingo, Skeleton, Fox, and Eagle. Fox’s new teaser is teasing some more characters including a spider, an ice cream cone, and a Rottweiler.
- Celebrity panelists Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, and Nicole Scherzinger will be returning to the show along with host Nick Cannon.
- During Season 1 some of the participating celebrities mentioned how difficult it was to see and dance in the costumes. This season, four-time Emmy winning Costume designer, Marina Toybina made it a goal of hers to ensure more mobility and the masks expanding the celebrities’ ability to see. “We want them to be more playful on stage, like a little party,” she said. “These are enriched in detail. They’re walkable art.”
The two-hour Season 2 premiere of The Masked Singer airs Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. on Fox giving you plenty of time to catch up on Season 1!
