Southern District Judge, Kevin Castel, alleviated Ja Rule from a lawsuit over the 2017 Fyre Festival.

- On Thursday, Jeffery Atkins aka Ja Rule and the Chief Marketing Officer Grant Margolin were relieved of any wrongdoing in regards to the 2017 Fyre Festival scam.
- In 2017, Ja Rule and Margolin were accused of organizing and promoting an event while knowing it was a scam.

- According to NYdailynews, “Judge Castel wrote a 32-page decision in Manhattan Federal Court that Ja Rule bragged about the festival being ‘lit’ months in advance but did not mean that he knew it would escalate into a crisis.”
- Many fans that attended the event were left stranded in the heat without any water. They were left to fend for themselves after being served bologna and bread for dinner.
- “Fyre Fest founder Billy McFarland is serving six years in prison for the fraudulent behavior. He also has been ordered to come up with $26 million for defrauding investors in the festival, among other schemes,” NYdailynews reported.
Ja Rule is thankful for Judge Castel and the jury for serving justice and proving to the public that he is innocent.
