Angela Bassett is taking her talents to the next level as she stars in Netflix’s upcoming film, Otherhood.
What We Know:
- Angela Bassett is joined by Patrica Arquette and Felicity Huffman as they play longtime friends and mothers of adult sons. They decide to drive to New York City after being stood up on Mother’s Day to reconnect with their sons.
- The film is directed by Sex in the City producer, Cindy Chupack. This is Chupack’s first feature film directing role.
- Netflix is grateful to grace their new coming film featuring Bassett as a star actor. Bassett has added Otherhood to her collection of works. She’s recently worked with Fox’s 9-1-1, Black Panther, Avengers, Bumblebee and is currently filming Gunpowder Milkshake.
- Netflix’s release date of Otherhood has currently been postponed from its original date of April 26, due to Huffman’s involvement in the USC college admissions scandal.
- Huffman was charged with conspiracy to commit fraud a month and a half before the film’s release. Huffman pleaded guilty and is awaiting trial.
