Stevie Wonder will be taking a break from music as he announced Saturday, during his concert in London, that he will be undergoing kidney surgery.
What We Know:
- On Wednesday, the Detroit FreePress reported that Wonder has been battling a serious but manageable health issue and had been touring overseas with a medical team.
- On Saturday night, Wonder announced that he will undergo a kidney transplant in September and that he is all good.
- Wonder thanked his fans Saturday night as they showed loving support for him and his future surgery.
- Wonder said, “I want you to know I came here to give you my love and to thank you for your love, You ain’t gotta hear no rumors about nothing, I told you what’s up, I’m good.”
Stevie Wonder will continue to perform his future tour dates until his surgery.
