“Old Town Road” Number One On Billboard For 13th Week

Posted on July 2, 2019July 3, 2019 by Madelyn Gee, DI

Rapper Lil Nas X is still getting major success with his smash hit “Old Town Road.”

What We Know:

  • The remix with country star Billy Ray Cyrus is still number one on the “Billboard Hot 100” after 13 straight weeks — which is INSANE.
  • The song is now only the 12th song to spend that many weeks atop the chart since it launched in 1958 as well as being the longest run at #1 by a hip-hop song.
  • “Old Town Road” is tied at 13 weeks with Boyz II Men’s “End Of The Road” and Brandy and Monica’s “The Boy Is Mine.”
  • This is not the only major milestone for Lil Nas X this week — he also recently came out as gay on Sunday, the last day of Pride Month.

Happy that he is still riding the charts!
