After 36 days in release, Will Smith has climbed the charts once again with Disney’s live action remake of Aladdin.
What We Know:
- Over the weekend Will Smith finally broke his record with more than $824 million dollars at the worldwide box office. This passes the global record of Suicide Squad and Independence Day.
- Smith’s previous record was set 23 years ago when Independence Day ran for 28 weeks with a total of $821 million, according to screenrant.com
- Disney’s domestic total is currently standing at $299.4 million as Aladdin heads into its sixth week.
- Smith took a moment to show his appreciation toward his fans by saying thank you in 15 languages.
