NFL’s Josh Norman Donates Thousands To Aid Immigrants

The Redskins cornerback Josh Norman donated $18,000 to the Humanitarian Respite Center in McAllen, Texas on Thursday.

What We Know:

  • The donation was made as a part of his mission to help with the ongoing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.
  • Norma Seni Pimentel (executive director of the charity) shared a photo of Norman, stating in the caption “Kudos to Josh Norman with the Washington Redskins for visiting the humanitarian respite center/McAllen today & contributing to our response to restore human dignity.”
  • This is not the first move that he has made to help with this crisis. After hearing about Trump’s actions to separate families at the border, he made major moves to brighten those kids’ days.
  • He flew to San Antonio and headed to Walmart, where he filled dozens of shopping carts with toys, treats, books and school supplies and delivered them to the children being held at local detention centers.
  • He told The Washington Post in an interview after the trip that “we all see it, but nobody’s moving to action…And to be honest with you, I would actually like to have done more. … Because it was needed.”

Shoutout to him for taking a stand against injustice!
