Sean Dykes, 24, was arrested Thursday and charged with abuse of a minor and domestic violence.
What We Know:
- Sean Dykes has been accused of punching his three month old daughter and slamming her to the ground multiple times. This attack reportedly left her with 27 bone fractures, bruises, bleeding in her eyes, and possible alternate internal injuries.
- Unfortunately, this isn’t Dykes first domestic abuse situation. According to the Associated Press, Dykes was accused of shoving his girlfriend and her mother to the ground, and attempting to strangle one of them. This incident was reported in March.
- Richmond Police Chief Assistant, Rodney Richardson, expressed disbelief at the situation. “It’s unimaginable that a father could do this to his daughter,” he said.
- Dykes is his daughters primary caregiver and expressed remorse for the attack. He also said he would apologize if he was able to see her again. He was charged with two counts of assault and one count of abuse of a minor.
There have been no reports of the daughter’s current condition and Dykes is being held without bail.
