Wendy Williams’ son, Kevin Hunter Jr, was arrested on Wednesday, May 22 after punching his father, Kevin Hunter Sr, in the face.
What We Know:
- After being married for 21 years, Wendy Williams filed for divorce from her husband on April 11th, after her husband’s mistress gave birth. Williams had taken a break from her hit show, The Wendy Williams Show to focus on her health. She returned on March 4th and told her audience about the trouble in her marriage and what she has been dealing with.
- Kevin Sr. served as a producer on Williams’ show until she removed him. When she heard about the birth of the child, she requested all his accounts be shut down and fired him from her show. Afterwards, Kevin Sr. requested spousal support from her and that she be personally responsible for the college tuition of their son. It seems to be these requests that ignited the fight between Hunter Sr. and his son.
- On Wednesday, Kevin Sr. and Jr. went to the store together and got into a fight in the parking lot of the store according to TMZ. The fight was a result of the two discussing the demand for spousal support. Kevin Sr. put Jr. in a headlock and Jr. responded by punching him in the face.
- The police were called and Kevin Jr. was arrested, but no charges were filed. Kevin Sr. said, “I love my son very much and I will not be pursuing this matter legally.”
Williams has stated that she wants “zero contact” with Kevin Sr. and the case of spousal support is still pending.
